8.1.7. Protect Personal Information
Apps automatically read your personal information to access restricted functions,
while most of these information are sensitive, such as call history, contacts, messages,
and calendar events; some apps will probably engage in malicious activities like
uploading or exposing your private data and monitoring your activities. By using this
feature, when an app tries to read information that it needs, your phone will provide
empty information instead of what you really have, which helps you protect your
privacy.
Protect your call history, contacts, messages, and events. Go to [Settings] >
[Security] > [Protect Personal Information], then choose an option. You will see a
real information, switch the app slider to green, then click [Turn on feature]. Your
phone will then provide empty information.
