x The BDP-105 can function as a dedicated Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) and process external
digital audio signals with its internal SABRE
32
Reference audio processors. Three digital audio input
ports are available: OPTICAL, COAXIAL and USB DAC, all located on the back panel. The processed
analog audio is available from the dedicated stereo (RCA and XLR) and multi-channel terminals.
x A digital audio source device (such as a DVD/CD player, digital TV box, and PC or Mac) can be
connected dire
ctly to the input port through an Optical, Coaxial or USB cable (not included). Some
configuration may be required on the source device to make sure the audio signal is sent out from the
correct output terminal. You can then use the INPUT button on the OPPO remote to open the Input
Source Menu and select the desired input port.
NOTE
x
To utilize the USB DAC input from a Windows computer (XP, Vista and Windows 7), a software
driver needs to be installed on the computer. The driver is available online at BDP-105 support
page on the OPPO Digital website (www.oppodigital.com).
x No software driver is required for Mac computers.
x The BDP-105 supports up to 2ch/192kHz PCM signal through its USB audio input, and up to
2ch/96kHz PCM, Dolby Digital, DTS and AAC signal through its Optical and Coaxial audio inputs.
x We recommend using a digital audio cable no longer than 13 feet (4m) to guarantee the optimal
bus performance and the correct interface operations.
