Making the cut
 The trimming step is quite simple. As you will see in the following slides, each
trace line is located between every 12
th
and 13th LED chip. This distance is
roughly 4 inches per segment. There are horizontal score marks as a guide to
make the cut.
 Being precise when you cut them straight across will protect your remaining
strip and give the material a nicer finish.
 Strips that are magnetically backed or thermal-adhesively backed may cut at
slightly different pressures. The horizontal score mark is your guide.
