BEFORE YOU BEGIN THE INSTALLATION Before you install your stereo, read all the instructions in this owner's manual.

Connecting Two Pairs of Speakers If you are using both front and rear speakers, follow these steps to connect the harness with the 14-pin connector to the speakers. 12-2154 Only: Before connecting the speakers, remove the tape that holds the mounting sleeve in place and slide the sleeve off of the stereo. Then set 2CH/4CH on the bottom of the stereo to 4CH.

BASIC OPERATION TURNING THE STEREO ON AND OFF To turn on the stereo, press ON/OFF. The buttons and display light.

CD CARE TIPS Even though a CD is very durable, you should handle it with care. recommend the following precautions. We Keep the CD in its protective case or sleeve when you are not playing it. Handle a CD by its edges to avoid fingerprints which can prevent the CD player's laser beam from accurately reading the CD. Your local RadioShack store sells a suitable CD cleaner kit. Do not write on either side of the CD, particularly the non-label side. (Signals are read from the non-label side.) Keep the CD dry.
