Question: What is the input lag of the projector?
Answer: CinemaX P2 input lag is as follows: 67.6ms for 4K UHD 60Hz and 67.1 for 1080p 60Hz. Enhanced Game Mode
MUST be enabled to achieve the lower input lag. In addition, when Enhanced Game Mode is enabled, all image
processing such as PureMotion, SmartFIT, etc. will be disabled. Once Enhanced Game Mode is disabled, the settings
will be RESTORED. To enable Enhanced Game Mode, press the menu button on the remote and go to Image Settings >
Enhanced Game Mode.
Question: How many HDMI 2.0 Ports on CinemaX P2?
Answer: CinemaX P2 has 2 HDMI 2.0 Ports (HDMI Port 1 and 2) and 1 HDMI 1.4 Port (Port 3).
Question: What is SmartFIT?
Answer: SmartFIT Automatic Geometry Correction allows for easy alignment of the image to the screen. With SmartFIT,
you can use the camera on your phone to instantly align the image. The SmartFIT App is available for Android and iOS.
In addition, the screen must be properly installed. Use the URL or QR Code on the addendum in the box to download
the SmartFIT installation guide. Download Guide can also be access here: https://www.optoma.com/support/smartt/.
Question: Does the CinemaX P2 feature an integrated soundbar?
Answer: Yes, CinemaX P2 features an integrated soundbar including 2 speakers, 2 drivers per speaker for a total of 40W.
Question: The remote is not responding. What can I do?
Answer: The CinemaX P2 remote supports IR and Bluetooth. If the LED on the remote is green when a button is pressed,
the remote is in IR Mode. If the LED on the remote is blue when a button is pressed, it is in Bluetooth. When CinemaX P2
is set up out of the box, the pairing process places the remote in Bluetooth mode. If the remote is no longer in Bluetooth
mode (green LED), please go to Settings > Bluetooth, remove the “OptomaRemote”, then add the remote again. If you
choose not to add the remote to BT, the remote will function in IR mode. If IR also does not work, please contact support
for a replacement. In the meantime, the projector can be controlled via the Optoma Connect App for Android and
iOS. Download the App, add the projector via the projector tab (scan IR code), then select the remote tab.
Question: How much space is needed to project a 100” image?
Answer: 100” image requires an 8” throw; distance is measured between back of the projector and the screen or wall.
Question: Does CinemaX P2 support 4K UHD 120Hz?
Answer: No, CinemaX P2 does not support 4K UHD 120Hz. CinemaX P2 supports up to 4K UHD 60Hz.
Question: Does the Optical Output support Dolby Digital 5.1 (AC3).
Answer: Yes, Dolby Digital 5.1 Pass Through is supported via the Optical Output.
Question: Does CinemaX P2 support HDR (High Dynamic Range)?
Answer: Yes, Cinemax P2 supports HDR10 and HLG. HLG is only supported for USB content and NOT HDMI sources. HDR is
enabled by default (auto). In addition, CinemaX P2 HDR support includes four HDR Picture Modes: Standard, Film, Detail,
and Bright. To access HDR settings, press the menu button the remote, go to Image Settings > Dynamic Range >
Picture Mode.
Question: How do I use Alexa Smart Home Skill (Smart Home Next), Alexa Custom Skill (Advanced SmartProjection) and
Google Action (Home/Assistant)?
Answer: To start, please download the Optoma Connect App for Android or iOS. Open the app, when prompted,
create an account. Select the projector tab, then scan the QR Code on the projected image to add the projector to
your account. When the code is successfully scanned, a dialog box will appear, select “know more about smart home”.
Follow the instructions to complete the setup process. The setup instructions can also be accessed via the “support”
section in the settings menu in the app.
Question: Does CinemaX P2 Smart Home App support 4K UHD?
Answer: Due to lack of support from the digital media streaming providers, only the Smart YouTube App supports 4K
UHD. All other apps run in 480p. To achieve higher resolution, such as 4K UHD or 1080p, it is recommended to connect a
streaming device, such as Apple TV, Roku, Chromecast or FireTV.
Question: Does CinemaX P2 support HDMI ARC?
Answer: Yes, CinemaX P2 supports HDMI ARC on HDMI Port 1. Connect an ARC enabled AVR or Soundbar to HDMI Port
1. CinemaX P2 will automatically register the ARC device. In addition, HDMI supports Dolby Digital Plus and ATMOS Pass
Through. Please note that eARC is not supported.
