Specifications
For voltage specifications please refer
to the bottom of the charging unit.
Connecting and charging
Your toothbrush has a waterproof
handle, is electrically safe and
designed for use in the bathroom.
• Plug the charging unit (D) into an
electrical outlet. Place the handle (C)
on the charging unit.
• A full charge takes 16 hours and
enables approximately one week
of regular brushing (twice a day,
2 minutes).
• For everyday use, the handle can be
stored on the plugged-in charging
unit to maintain the toothbrush at full
power. Overcharging is impossible.
However for environmental reasons,
Oral-B recommends to unplug the
charging unit until the next recharge
is required.
Battery maintenance
To maintain the maximum capacity of
the rechargeable battery, unplug the
charging unit and discharge the handle
by regular use at least every 6 months.
Using the toothbrush
The toothbrush can be used with any
leading brand of toothpaste.
• Wet brush head and apply tooth-
paste. To avoid splashing, guide the
brush head to your teeth before
switching the appliance on (B).
• Slowly guide the brush head from
tooth to tooth, spending a few
seconds on each tooth surface.
• Brush the gums as well as the teeth,
first the outsides, then the insides
and finally the chewing surfaces
(1–5). Brush at least 2 minutes to
thoroughly remove plaque. Do not
press too hard or scrub.
• Turn off the handle by pressing the
on/off switch.
Timer (depending on model)
An incorporated timer memorises
the elapsed brushing time. A short
stuttering sound indicates the end
of the professionally recommended
2-minute brushing time.
Individual brush heads and
accessories
Oral-B offers you a variety of brush
heads which are available in stores
that sell Oral-B products. Following
brush heads are interchangeable and
can be used on your Oral-B Vitality
handle.
Oral-B FlossAction brush head
The Oral-B FlossAction
brush head is recom-
mended for everyday
deep cleaning. It features
micropulse bristles that
get deep in hard-to-reach areas
between your teeth, gently removing
hidden plaque.
Oral-B Precision Clean brush head
The Oral-B Precision
Clean brush head
provides effective and
gentle cleaning action to
help protect both teeth
and gums. The brush head cups each
tooth with a curved bristle trim and
reaches deep between teeth at the
same time.
Oral-B Sensitive brush head
The Oral-B Sensitive
brush head provides
thorough cleaning for
sensitive teeth and gums.
It has an extra soft bristle
texture that is gentle on teeth and
gums.
Oral-B Dual Clean brush head
The Oral-B Dual Clean
brush head offers two
types of cleaning motion
in one. It combines the
oscillating–rotating motion
with an additional
side-to-side motion. The
oscillation motion stimulates gums
while removing plague bacteria.
Multi-angled bristles clean between
teeth and along the gumline. You can
use this brush head either by moving
from tooth to tooth or apply the same
brushing technique as you do with any
manual toothbrush.
Oral-B 3DWhite brush head
For occasional or every-
day polishing, please
use the Oral-B 3DWhite
brush head. It features a
dentist-inspired polishing
cup to remove surface stains from
coffee, tea and tobacco for effective
brightening. We do not recommend
using the Oral-B 3DWhite brush head
with braces.
Dentists recommend replacing any
toothbrush every 3 months. Therefore
the brush heads feature light blue

bristles to help you
monitor brush head replacement need
(I.a). With thorough brushing, twice a
day for two minutes, the blue color will
fade halfway down approximately in
a 3-month period (I.b). If the bristles
splay before the colour recedes (I.c),
you are exerting too much pressure on
teeth and gums.
