“Reading Speed Up”
- OrCam MyEye will now speak and read faster.
“Reading Speed Down”
- OrCam MyEye will now speak and read slower.
“Exit”
- This command will have OrCam MyEye exit the Smart Reading feature.
Orientation

This feature helps you to orient within your surroundings. It announces and
directs you toward objects that are between 6 and 30 feet (2 and 9 meters)
away.
OrCam MyEye can identify the following objects:
- Doors
- Chairs
- Round Containers, such as cups, jars, and bottles
- Ascending Stairs
- Digital Screens
- Tables
To activate this feature, while making sure that the camera is facing the area
of interest:
1. Double tap the touch bar and after the long beep, “What’s in front of me.”
2. The device will announce which objects were identied, how many objects,
and their locations. For example: “A table in the center and 2 chairs, one on
the left and one on the right”.
3. The device is now in “Always Listening” mode. There is no need to double tap
the touch bar before saying any further vocal commands.
4. To identify additional objects in your surroundings, say, “Repeat” or “What’s
in front of me”.
5. There are 3 ways to exit this feature:
- Say, “Exit”.
- Use the stop gesture.
- Press and hold down the touch bar for 5 seconds and release.
Note: Avoid any sudden head movements to enable the device to capture the
immediate surroundings in high resolution.
