3. OPERAT ION ASSEMBLY Cord Storage: Insert the handle into the base. C AUT ION ! Push handle down to lock into position. Wrap cord around the cord hooks for convenient storage. Attach the plug end to the cord. DO NOT USE THIS EXTRACTOR ON HARD FLOORS UNLESS YOU HAVE THE PROPER HARD FLOOR ATTACHMENT. BEFORE YOU BEGIN CLEANING NOTE: To prevent staining, use plastic or aluminum foil to protect wood or metal surfaces from possible water spray. NOTE: To avoid damage to wood floors underneath area rugs or carpet, place waterproof material (e.g. plastic) underneath them before cleaning. 1. Vacuum carpet and upholstery thoroughly with an Oreck® vacuum. 3. Test for colorfastness in a small, hidden area. Gently rub surface with a dampened white cloth.
3. OPERAT ION FILLING THE CLEAN WATER TANK NOTE: Using more than the recommended amount of cleaning solution may cause excessive foaming. Press the Clean Water Tank latch on handle. Angle the Clean Water Tank out to remove. Turn water cap counter-clockwise to remove. WAR NI NG ! USE ONLY ORECK CLEANING PRODUCTS INTENDED FOR USE WITH THIS MACHINE. (SEE THE “CLEANING PRODUCTS” SECTION IN THIS MANUAL FOR DETAILS.) THEY ARE SPECIALLY FORMULATED FOR USE WITH YOUR CLEANER.
Pour 2 caps of solution in Clean Water Tank. See solution label for accurate solution measurement based on a two quart tank. Replace cap. C AU T I O N! Angle the Clean Water Tank back onto the handle. It will click into place. DETERGENTS CONTAIN ANIONIC AND NONIONIC SURFACTANTS. AVOID CONTACT WITH EYES AND SKIN. IN CASE OF CONTACT WITH EYES, FLUSH WITH COLD WATER FOR 15 MINUTES. IN CASE OF CONTACT WITH SKIN, WASH WITH WATER. IF IRRITATION PERSISTS, CALL A PHYSICIAN.
3. OPERAT ION USING YOUR MACHINE NOTE: For best results, use straight, parallel strokes. Overlap strokes by 1 in. to help prevent streaking. Plug in. Step on the handle release pedal to put unit in cleaning position. C AU T I O N! Step on the power pedal to turn ON (I=ON). Press the power pedal again to turn OFF (0=OFF). Squeeze trigger to apply cleaning solution. Slowly push forward then backwards while squeezing the trigger (wet stroke). DO NOT CLEAN OVER FLOOR ELECTRICAL OUTLETS.
NOTE: Empty Dirty Water Tank when the motor sound becomes higher pitched and there is a loss in suction (see “Automatic shut-off”). NOTE: It is best to alternate wet and dry strokes as described below. For best cleaning results, end with more dry strokes. (Continue using dry strokes until little water is visible passing through the nozzle.) For best results, Oreck® recommends rinsing carpet with water only. This removes residual carpet cleaning solution. Fill Clean Water tank with water only.
3. OPERAT ION EMPTYING THE DIRTY WATER TANK Grasp Dirty Water Tank handle and squeeze latch to release. Lift tank out at an angle like this. WA RN IN G ! Empty the Dirty Water Tank by pulling up on the latch at the back of the tank to open. Hold lid open while emptying tank. TO REDUCE THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY—UNPLUG BEFORE CLEANING OR SERVICING.
Secure lid by pushing the latch down. It will snap when secured. Insert Dirty Water Tank at an angle until it clicks into place. Automatic Shutoff Your carpet cleaner is equipped with a shut-off float. When the Dirty Water Tank becomes full, the float will rise, shutting off the air flow through the nozzle. A higher pitched sound will come from the motor. When activated, empty the dirty water tank. If the dirty water tank does not appear full, turn off and wait for the float to reset.
3. OPERAT ION ATTACHING TOOLS NOTE: Tools are located and stored in Mesh Stoage Bag. NOTE: Upholstery and SpinBrush 360 ™ Powered Hand Tool attach to the hose in the same manner. Place unit in upright position. Slide the hose on the tool’s connector until it locks. Push forward with your thumb on the latch to remove. WAR NI NG ! USE EXTRA CARE WHEN CLEANING ON STAIRS. TO AVOID PERSONAL INJURY OR DAMAGE, AND TO PREVENT THE CLEANER FROM FALLING, ALWAYS PLACE CLEANER AT BOTTOM OF STAIRS OR ON FLOOR.
Upholstery Tool: Multi-Floor Squeege* *Select Models Only *Select Models Only SpinBrush 360 ™ Powered Hand Tool * The Upholstery Tool’s built-in brush provides scrubbing action. The Multi-Floor Squeegee extends cleaning from carpet to hard floors. Pivot squeegee on front nozzle and snap back to secure squeegee for hard floor use. The SpinBrush 360™ Powered Hand Tool’s rotating brush provides extra scrubbing for spots and messes.
3. OPERAT ION USING YOUR TOOLS Pull up hose port on the nozzle. Insert hose end connector and twist clockwise to seal. Connect cleaning fluid supply hose to the connector and twist clockwise to seal. After use, remove hose and tube. Close hose port cover until it clicks in place.
After using tool: Drain suction hose by turning cleaner ON and holding nozzle up for several minutes. Do not press the trigger. Disconnect hose and solution tube from cleaner. Drain solution tube by placing round end in sink and raising the trigger end at the hose nozzle above your head. Press the trigger to release air and fluid. Replace Hose and tools in the Mesh Storage Bag.
3. OPERAT ION HOW TO CLEAN UPHOLSTERY Note: Read “Before You Begin Cleaning” instructions (pg. 11). Be sure to check Oreck ® Cleaning Guide on page 7 and the cleaning code on your upholstery. Use your cleaner only on upholstery marked “W” or “W/S”. Attach hose to the unit. Follow steps “Using your Tools” on page 20. Dry hands and plug into an outlet, then turn ON. Gently press the tool onto the fabric. Press the trigger and slowly pull the nozzle over the fabric.
If additional cleaning is necessary, wait until the upholstery is completely dry before using the tool again. Empty Dirty Water Tank when the motor sound becomes higher pitched and there is a loss in suction (see “Automatic Shut-Off”). When finished cleaning, follow “After Cleaning” and “After Using Tool” instructions on page 14. Overlap strokes by 1/2 in. to prevent streaking. Make additional strokes without pressing the trigger. For heavily soiled areas, repeat the cleaning process.
4. MAINT ENENCE CLEANING THE DIRTY WATER TANK Remove the Dirty Water Tank by squeezing latch and pulling the tank out at an angle. WAR NI NG ! TO REDUCE THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY—UNPLUG BEFORE CLEANING OR SERVICING. Pull up on back latch to open Dirty Water Tank. Hold top open and rinse tank with clean water. To clean Dirty Water Tank, place it under faucet and dispense high pressure clean water to backflush any loose debris.
Be sure to clean the filter screen located in the top of the Dirty Water Tank. Allow to air dry completely. Pull the lid down to insert latch. Replace Dirty Water Tank back onto unit until it snaps. Familiarize yourself with these home maintenance tasks. Proper use and care of your cleaner will ensure continued cleaning effectiveness. Any other servicing should be done by an authorized service representative.
4. MAINT ENENCE CLEANING THE NOZZLE To prevent leaking, remove Clean Water Tank and Dirty Water Tank. With unit in an upright position, tilt carpet cleaner back. WA RN IN G ! Remove two phillips head screws on the top of the nozzle. Pull nozzle forward to remove. Disconnect nozzle from hose. Note: Do not pull nozzle up when removing. TO REDUCE THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY—UNPLUG BEFORE CLEANING OR SERVICING.
STORAGE Before storing: • Empty Clean Water Tank and let air dry. • Empty Dirty Water Tank, rinse tank and lid thoroughly with clean water and let air dry. • Replace tanks on cleaner. Allow brushes and underside of carpet cleaner to air dry thoroughly before storing cleaner on a carpeted or wood surface. Rinse debris from the nozzle. Attach nozzle to hose. Pull nozzle down to align the tabs with the notches on the base. Insert Screws. Note: Ensure the nozzle is flush with the foot.
4. MAINT ENENCE CLEANING THE SPINBRUSHES 360™ Flip cleaner on back. Grasp SpinBrush 360™ Brushes and pull out. WA RN IN G ! Rinse off debris. Replace SpinBrush 360™ Brushes by lining up tab and pushing back in. TO REDUCE THE RISK OF PERSONAL INJURY—UNPLUG BEFORE CLEANING OR SERVICING.
REMOVING THE FLAT BELT Flip cleaner on its back. Make sure SpinBrush 360™ Brushes are removed. To access the belt, remove the 8 Philips screws and remove belt and brushroll cover. Circles show location of screws. Using a screwdriver, remove the belt off the motor drive and replace with new belt. To reassemble, reverse steps. What belt to buy: For replacement belts please order part number 440007241 for tooth/ timing belt. To locate a dealer nearest you, please call 1.800.989.
5. TROU BLESH OOT ING If appliance is not working as it should, has been dropped, damaged, left outdoors or dropped into water, take it to a service center prior to continuing use. Any other servicing should be done by an authorized service representative. Problem Cause Resolution Cleaner will not run • • • Power cord not firmly plugged into outlet. No voltage in wall plug. Blown fuse or tripped breaker. • • • Plug unit in firmly. Check fuse or breaker in home.

3. OPERACIÓN ENSAMBLAJE 1 2 Inserte el mango en la base. 3 Tire del mango hacia abajo para asegurarlo en su lugar. CÓMO LLENAR EL TANQUE DE AGUA LIMPIA NOTA: Utilizar más solución de limpieza de la recomendada puede causar demasiada espuma. 1 2 Presione el pestillo del tanque de agua limpia en el mango. Incline el tanque de agua limpia para retirarlo. 3 Gire la tapa de agua hacia la izquierda para retirarla. 4 Llene el tanque de agua limpia con agua caliente de la llave. 5 Vierta 2 de medida de la solución en el Tanque con agua limpia.
3. OPERACIÓN CÓMO UTILIZAR SU APARATO NOTA: Para obtener mejores resultados, dé pasadas en forma recta y paralela. Asegúrese de que las pasadas se superpongan 1 pulgada para evitar la formación de vetas. NOTA: Vacíe el tanque de agua sucia cuando el sonido del motor se vuelva más agudo y haya una pérdida de succión (vea “Apagado automático”). CÓMO VACIAR EL TANQUE DE AGUA SUCIA 1 2 Tome el mango del tanque de agua sucia y apriete el pestillo para descargarlo. Levante el tanque ligeramente en diagonal como se muestra. 4 Vacíe el tanque de agua sucia tirando la traba en la parte posterior del tanque para poder abrirlo. 3 Mantenga la tapa abierta mientras vacía el tanque. 5 Para bloquear la tapa presione el pestillo hacia abajo. El pestillo sonará cuando se cierre.
3. OPERACIÓN CÓMO CONECTAR LOS ACCESORIOS NOTA: El accesorio de mano turboaccionado 360° SpinBrush y el de tapizados se conectan a la manguera de la misma manera. NOTA: Los accesorios se almacenan en la bolsa de malla. 1 2 Coloque el aparato en posición vertical. Inserte la manguera en el conector de accesorios hasta que quede bien cerrado. Con su pulgar, empuje hacia adelante en la traba para retirarlo.
CÓMO UTILIZAR SUS HERRAMIENTAS 1 Tire hacia abajo el puerto de conexión de la manguera en la boquilla. Inserte el conector extremo de la manguera y gire hacia la derecha para cerrarlo. 2 Conecte la manguera abastecedora de líquidos en el conector y gire hacia la derecha para atorarlo. Después de usar el accesorio: 4 Encienda la aspiradora para drenar la manguera de succión, mantenga levantada la boquilla por unos minutos. No presione el gatillo.
3. OPERACIÓN CÓMO LIMPIAR LA TAPICERÍA Nota: Lea las instrucciones “Antes de comenzar a limpiar” (pág. 11). Asegúrese de consultar la guía de limpieza de Oreck® en la página 7 y el código de limpieza de su tapizado. Utilice la limpiadora únicamente en tapizado marcado con “W” o “W/S”. 1 Conecte la manguera a la unidad. 4. M ANT ENIMIENTO CÓMO LIMPIAR EL TANQUE DE AGUA SUCIA 1 2 Retire el tanque de agua sucia presionando el pestillo y jalando la cisterna diagonalmente. 4 Jale el pestillo posterior para abrir el tanque de agua sucia. Mantenga abierta la parte superior y enjuague el tanque con agua limpia. 5 Asegúrese de limpiar la malla del filtro que se encuentra en la tapa del tanque de agua sucia.
4. M ANT ENIMIENTO CÓMO LIMPIAR LA BOQUILLA 1 2 Para evitar fugas, retire el tanque de agua limpia y el tanque de agua sucia. 3. U T ILISAT ION ASSEMBLAGE 1 Insérer le manche dans la base de l’appareil. 2 Enfoncer le manche jusqu’à ce qu’il s’enclenche. 3 Rangement du cordon: Pour un rangement pratique, enrouler le cordon autour des crochets. Raccorder la fiche au cordon.

U T ILISAT ION REMPLISSAGE DU RÉSERVOIR À EAU PROPRE NOTA : L’utilisation d’une quantité de solution nettoyante supérieure à celle recommandée peut produire un excès de mousse. 1 2 Appuyer sur le loquet du réservoir à eau propre sur manche. Incliner le réservoir à eau propre vers l’extérieur pour le retirer. 4 3 Tourner le bouchon du réservoir à eau en sens anti-horaire pour le retirer. Remplir le réservoir à eau propre avec de l’eau chaude du robinet jusqu’à la ligne de remplissage.
UTILISATION DE VOTRE APPAREIL NOTA : Pour obtenir de meilleurs résultats, passer la shampouineuse en lignes droites parallèles. Chevaucher les passages de 1 po (2,5 cm) afin d’éviter les marques. NOTA : Vider le réservoir à eau sale lorsque le son du moteur devient plus aigu et que la force de succion de l’appareil diminue (voir “Arrêt automatique”). NOTA : Il est préférable d’alterner entre des passages humides et à sec, tel qu’indiqué ci-dessus. 1 Brancher l’appareil.
3. U T ILISAT ION 4 5 Relâcher la gâchette, puis pousser lentement l’appareil sur la zone pulvérisée. Ramenez ensuite lentement la shampouineuse vers vous sans appuyer sur la gâchette (passage à sec). Continuer de faire des passages à sec jusqu’à l’apparition d’une petite quantité d’eau. AV E RT I S SE M E N T Pour rincer les moquettes, vider le réservoir à eau propre et le remplir d’eau seulement avant de repasser sur les moquettes.
VIDAGE DU RÉSERVOIR À EAU SALE 1 2 Saisir la poignée du réservoir à eau sale et presser Vider le réservoir à eau sale en tirant sur le le loquet pour le dégager. Retirer le réservoir en le loquet à l’arrière du réservoir pour l’ouvrir. soulevant et en l’inclinant de la façon illustrée. 4 3 Maintenir le couvercle ouvert pendant le vidage. 5 Fixer le couvercle en abaissant le loquet. Il s’enclenchera en position de verrouillage.
3. U T ILISAT ION INSTALLATION DES ACCESSOIRES NOTA : L’accessoire pour tissus d’ameublement et l’accessoire portatif électrique à 360° SpinBrush se fixent au tuyau de la même manière. NOTA : Les accessoires sont rangés dans le sac de rangement en filet. 1 2 Placer l’appareil en position verticale. Accessoire pour tissus d’ameublement: La brosse intégrée de l’accessoire pour tissus d’ameublement permet un nettoyage en profondeur.
UTILISATION DES ACCESSOIRES 1 Fixer le raccord du tuyau à la buse. Insérer l’extrémité du tuyau et tourner en sens horaire pour raccorder. 2 Brancher le tuyau d’alimentation en solution nettoyante et tourner en sens horaire pour raccorder. Après l’utilisation de l’accessoire: 4 Vider le tuyau de succion en mettant l’appareil en marche et en tenant la buse vers le haut pendant plusieurs minutes. Ne pas appuyer sur la gâchette. Débrancher le tuyau et le tube à solution de l’appareil.
3. U T ILISAT ION NETTOYAGE DES TISSUS D’AMEUBLEMENT Nota : Lire les instructions de la section “Avant de commencer le nettoyage” (page 11). S’assurer de consulter le guide de nettoyage OreckMD à la page 7 et de vérifier les instructions de nettoyage indiquées sur les tissus d’ameublement. Utiliser la shampouineuse uniquement sur les tissus d’ameublement portant les mentions “W” ou “W/S”. 1 Fixer le tuyau à l’appareil.
4. ENT RET IEN NETTOYAGE DU RÉSERVOIR À EAU SALE 1 2 Presser le loquet et retirer le réservoir à eau sale de l’appareil en l’inclinant légèrement. 4 3 Lever le loquet arrière pour ouvrir le réservoir à eau sale. Tenir le couvercle ouvert et rincer le réservoir avec de l’eau claire. 5 S’assurer de nettoyer le filtre situé dans le couvercle du réservoir à eau sale. AV ERT IS S E ME N T Laisser sécher à l’air complètement. Tirer the couvercle vers le bas pour insérer le loquet.
4. ENT RET IEN NETTOYAGE DE LA BUSE 1 2 Pour prévenir les fuites, retirer le réservoir à eau propre et le réservoir à eau sale. Tenir la shampouineuse en position verticale et l’incliner vers l’arrière. 4 Retirer les deux vis cruciformes au haut de la buse. 5 Éliminer les débris de la buse à l’eau claire. AV ERT I S S E ME N T Fixer la buse au tuyau. Tirer la buse vers le bas pour aligner les languettes sur les encoches de la base. Insérer les vis.
NETTOYAGE DES BROSSES SPINBRUSH À 360° 1 2 Retourner l’appareil sur le dos. Saisir les brosses SpinBrush à 360° et les retirer. 3 Éliminer les débris à l’eau claire. Replacer les brosses SpinBrush à 360° en alignant la languette et en les repoussant à l’intérieur. RETRAIT DE LA COURROIE SYNCHRONE/DENT 1 2 Retourner l’appareil sur le dos. S’assurer que les brosses SpinBrush à 360° sont retirées.
5. D ÉPANNAGE Si l’appareil ne fonctionne pas adéquatement, s’il est tombé, a été endommagé, a été laissé à l’extérieur ou est tombé dans l’eau, l’apporter à un centre de service avant de poursuivre l’utilisation. Toute autre tâche d’entretien doit être confiée à un représentant de service autorisé. Problème Cause L’appareil ne fonctionne pas. • L’appareil ne ramasse pas la poussière ou faible succion de l’appareil. • De l’eau s’écoule de l’appareil.

Solution Le réservoir à eau propre/à solution est vide. Le réservoir à eau propre/à solution n’est pas installé correctement. Réparation nécessaire. • • • Remplir le réservoir à eau propre/à solution.
