RECORD MODE

Prior to initiating Voice Recording, the user must verify the record option

in the Settings Menu.

To verify the record settings:

1. From the Main Menu, select the "Settings" Menu option.

2. Using the

button, scroll down until you highlight the "Record

Settings" sub-menu option. Press the

or MENU / ON button

to display this menu.

3. For the "Source" option, press the

or MENU / ON button to

switch between the various recording sources. (The default

setting is "Microphone," which is used for voice recording).

4. After selecting "Microphone" as the source, use the

to scroll

down to the data rate. (The recommended data rate for voice

recording is 8000Hz, as this creates acceptable quality and

small files sizes).

NOTE: The data rate may be adjusted by pressing the .

5. After the microphone source and data rate have been verified,

press and hold down the or MENU / ON button to return to

the previous menu.

To get to the Record mode:

From the Main Menu, selecting the "Voice" option will take you to the FM folder.

To voice record:

1. Following the establishment of the settings for voice recording,

return to the Main Menu by pressing and holding the MENU /

ON button for 2 seconds or more.

2. Select "Record" with the

button, then press the MENU / ON

button to enter the Record mode.

NOTE: Upon entering this function, recording starts automatically.

Recording may not be paused - it will continue until the / OFF key is

pressed. When the / OFF key is pressed, the recorded file is closed

and the user is returned to the Main Menu.
