7 IMPORTANT! Securing to Wall Stud(s) If the cabinet is being hung on drywall, you will also need to add an additional screws to anchor it to one or more structural wall studs. Although drywall fasteners are sufficient to support the cabinet in normal conditions, in case of unexpected accidents it is imperative to also drive screws to directly anchor the cabinet to at least one structural wall stud 8 i.
