A note from the artist.

Thank you for purchasing Oscar & Izzy tiles! I hope you enjoy these special

pieces of art. Sure to be conversation starters – these tiles were designed

speciﬁcally to brighten your life using color and bold design.

My ﬁrst three tile lines were inﬂuenced by a combination of Scandinavian and

1950’s retro art. Folksy Love draws inspiration from the country roads and

farmlands of Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where I grew up. The Kitschy

Kitchen line stems from fond memories of visiting my grandparents and

exploring their endless collection of retro knick-knacks. As my attention

turned to nature and it’s power, I created Earth Quads – the ﬁrst line of Quads.

The forth line, Organic Origins, brings together the rural hex signs of my

Lancaster hometown and the urban city life I live now in Philadelphia. Finally,

after many requests, my direction turned to a full black and white collection.

Each line has a distinct ﬂavor, but all the tiles have one thing in common:

color, and lots of it.

how to care for your tiles: Your tile mural is special and should be given special treatment just as you would a fine art piece or an expensive item of furniture. The tile surface should be protected from scratches and should be cared for as you would care for the finish of your kitchen appliances like your microwave, dishwasher, stove and refrigerator. These finishes are tough and durable but need to be protected from scratching. The tiles cannot be installed outside in direct sunlight.
