This document contains instructions for installing the MATE3 flat against a wall. The CAT5 cable

runs through an electrical outlet box and into the back of the MATE3. This kit can be used when

the cable must be concealed inside a wall or brought from one room to another.

IMPORTANT: Box Required



This kit requires a standard electrical outlet box to be mounted in the wall

behind the MATE3. The FW-MB3-F mounting plate must attach to this box.

The plate can mount to a double-gang, triple-gang, or quadruple-gang

box. The illustrations in this document show a double-gang outlet box.



The CAT5 cable must be run through the box and made available to plug

into the MATE3 before performing this installation (see below).

Instructions 1. Place the FW-MB3-F bracket on the surface of the wall. Align the opening in the electrical box with the bracket cutout. Align the FW-MB3-F mounting holes with the mounting holes in the electrical box. In this illustration, the box has four holes. In other box sizes, more holes may be present. Placement of #6 x 1” Flat-head Screws 2. Thread the CAT5 cable through the bracket cutout. 3. Insert one #6 x 1” flat-head screw into each of the mounting holes.
