TIPS & HINTS FOR FOOD PROCESSOR SLICER AND GRATER ATTACHMENTS When using the chopper disc, place ingredients horizontally. 1 Place the pillar and bowl onto the motor base. When slicing or shredding: food placed upright comes out shorter than food placed horizontally 2 Put the slicer blade on the slicer support or the grater blade onto the grater support. There will always be a small amount of waste on the plate or in the bowl after processing. 3 Insert the lid.
USING Your FOOD PROCESSOR How To Slice Or Shred 1 Place the bowl over the center post in the base then turn the bowl clockwise until you hear it click into place. 2 To process into a serving/mixing bowl using the exit chute, place the disc stem onto the center post in the bowl. Grasp the slice/shred disc by the hub with the desired side (Slice or Shred) up and push it down onto the discharge disc.
Care & MAINTENANCE NOTE: Do not attempt to sharpen the cutting edges of the chopping blade or the reversible disc. They are permanently sharpened at the factory and will be ruined by attempted sharpening. To avoid injury, never place chopping blade or slice/shred disc on base without first putting bowl properly in place. Make sure motor, disc, and/or chopping blade have stopped completely before removing cover. Before cleaning, be sure the unit is off and the cord is unplugged.
