Hi-performance, Network Manageable Fast Ethernet Switch
Proudly presented by OvisLink, OV-2500 Series is a hi-performance L2 switch
family, which is capable of gigabit speed packet forwarding. The switch has
family has different ports conguration options. Due to its high performance
and low cost, OvisLink OV-2500 family is considered a very competitive Ether-
net switching solution for community networking and workgroup networking
in enterprise networks. The hi-speed connection it provides among work-
groups can boost the capability of server clusters, and solves the bottleneck
caused by increasing users and limited bandwidth, making network resour-
ces more available for your enterprise. More importantly, all of the advanta-
ges are brought to you by OvisLink at low costs and with easy maintenance
and the best support.
Application
OvisLink OV-2500 Series provides desktop Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, enabling
enhanced LAN services for entry-level enterprise, midmarket, and branch ofce net-
works. At speeds of 1000 Mbps, Gigabit Ethernet provides the bandwidth to meet new
and evolving network demands, alleviate bottlenecks, and boost performance while in-
creasing the return on existing infrastructure investments. Today’s workers are placing
higher demands on networks, running multiple, concurrent applications and Gigabit
Ethernet access is needed to fulll these needs. It also provides a great solution for
data centers and server farm network access.
The OvisLink OV-2500 Series provides:
• Intelligent features at the network edge, such as sophisticated access control lists
(ACLs) and enhanced security.
• High speed solution with Gigabit Ethernet network access
• Network control and bandwidth optimization using QoS, granular rate limiting, ACLs
(L2-L4), and IGMP Snooping.
• Network security through a wide range of authentication methods, and Network
Access Control based on users, ports, and MAC addresses.
• Extended manageability using CLI.
• Automatic recognition for straight-through or cross-over cables.
• Lifetime warranty.
• Free software updates.
