6. Turn the notebook upside down again and remove the top cover.
Note: The touchpad is part of the top cover and does not require a separate disassembly.
Speakers
To remove the speakers, first remove the top cover (see Top Cover
), and then perform the following
steps:
1. Release the speaker cables from the clips.

2. Pull the speaker cables to remove the speakers.
Note: Guide the speaker cable underneath the top cover during assembly.
Modem (Optional)
To remove the optional modem, first remove the top cover (see Top Cover
), and then perform the
following steps:
1. Remove the 2 screws securing the modem.
