Dialing calls
Your Treo™ 650 smartphone offers several options for making phone calls. As you get
familiar with your phone, you’ll discover which method you prefer.
Dialing using the onscreen Dial Pad
1. Press Phone/Send .
2. Tap the onscreen Dial Pad to enter the number.
3. Press Phone/Send to dial.
Dialing with the keyboard
1. Press Phone/Send .
2. Using the numbered keys on the keyboard, start entering a phone number.
You do not need to press Option to access the numbers on the keyboard.
3. Press Phone/Send to dial.
Dialing by contact name
Before you can dial a call by contact name, you must create some contacts (see
“Adding a contact” on page 98) or import them by synchronizing (see “Synchronizing
contacts and other information” on page 31).
If you changed the
wallpaper in the Main View
of the Phone application
(see “Selecting wallpaper
for the Phone application”
on page 141), you can still
access the Dial Pad. From
the Main View of the Phone
application, press Phone/
Send, and then select
Dial Pad.
You can paste numbers
directly into the Dial Pad
View. Copy a number from
another application, and
then switch to Dial Pad
View. Open the Edit menu
and select Paste. Press
Phone/Send to dial.
