1 On your computer, right-click the
ActiveSync icon in the taskbar in
the lower-right corner of the screen, and
select Connection Settings.
2 Check the Allow connections for one
of the following box, and then select
Bluetooth.
3 On your smartphone, press Start
and select Settings.
4 Select the Connections tab, and then
select Bluetooth .
5 Check the Turn on Bluetooth box to
turn on the Bluetooth feature on your
smartphone.
6 Press Start and select Programs.
7 Select ActiveSync .
8 Press Menu (right action key) and
select Connect via Bluetooth.
9 If this is the first time you’re making a
Bluetooth connection to this computer,
follow the onscreen prompts to set up a
Bluetooth partnership with this
computer. See Connecting to devices
using Bluetooth wireless technology for
more information on partnerships.
10 Select Sync.
11 When synchronization has finished,
press Menu (right action key) and
select Disconnect Bluetooth.
Synchronizing over an infrared
connection
If your computer has an IR (infrared) port,
you can synchronize with your computer
wirelessly using the IR port on your
smartphone.
BEFORE YOU BEGIN Make sure your
computer is equipped with an IR port.
1 Set up your computer to receive
infrared beams. See ActiveSync Help on
your computer for details.
2 Point the IR port on your smartphone
directly at the IR port on your computer.
3 On your smartphone, press Start
and select Programs.
4 Select ActiveSync .
5 Press Menu (right action key) and
select Connect via IR.
6 Select Sync.
