CHAPTER
Documents To Go
®
Professional
NOTE On your smartphone, the
companion application for Documents To
Go
®
is named Documents.
With the Documents application on your
smartphone, you can take your important
office info with you. You can create, view,
and edit Microsoft Word and Excel files
directly on your smartphone. You can also
view and manage PowerPoint and PDF
files. For example, you can open email
attachments, files you download with the
web browser, and files stored on an
expansion card (sold separately)—as long
as the files are in a supported format.
NOTE The version of Documents To Go
that comes with your smartphone does not
support Microsoft Office 2007. To access
Office 2007 files on your smartphone, you
must save the files in Office 2003 format.
For information about an upgrade that
supports Office 2007, go to
www.dataviz.com/office2007
(additional
fees may apply).
Here are a few more examples of what you
can do with Documents:
• Send and receive email attachments in
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Acrobat
file formats (DOC, XLS, PPT, and PDF).
• View Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and
Adobe
®
Acrobat
®
files (DOC, XLS, PPT,
and PDF).
• Create or edit a Word-compatible
document or Excel-compatible
spreadsheet on your smartphone, and
then save it in the native DOC or XLS
format.
• Create a PowerPoint presentation on
your computer, use the Documents To
Go desktop application to optimize the
file for your smartphone, and then sync
the file onto your smartphone. View or
edit the file on your smartphone, and
then sync again to transfer the changes
to the original PowerPoint file on your
computer.
