TROUBLESHOOTING
Symptom Cause Correction
The tank loses water or water comes out
of the jug cover.
The tank is not properly on. Line the tank opening up well with the opening
of the preparation container.
The tank water level is higher than the
MAX mark.
The tank water level should be below the MAX
level.
The tank’s metal parts are rusty. An unsuitable de-scaler has been used. It
may corrode the metal parts of the tank.
Use the de-scaler recommended by the
manufacturer.
Water comes out of the lower part
of the coffee maker.
There is too much water in the drip tray. Please clean the drip tray.
The coffee maker is not working
properly.
Please contact the authorised service centre
to repair it.
Water comes out of the filter outer part. There is ground coffee on the edge of
the filter.
Remove it.
The espresso coffee tastes acid
(vinegar).
It has not been properly cleaned after
cleaning the mineral sediments.
Clean the coffee maker’s contents several
times “before using it for the first time”.
The ground coffee has been kept in a
hot or damp place for a long time. It has
gone off.
Please use freshly ground coffee or keep
the unused ground coffee in a cold and dry
place. Open packets of ground coffee should
be closed well and kept in the fridge to keep
it fresh.
The coffee maker is not working. The cable is not plugged in properly. Plug it in properly into a socket. If the electrical
appliance still does not work, contact the
authorised service centre to repair it.
The steam does not make froth. The steam indicator (green light) is not
on.
The steam can only make froth when the steam
indicator (the green light) turns on.
The cup is too big or its shape does not
fit in.
Use a tall and thin cup.
You have used skimmed milk. Use full-cream or semi-skimmed milk.
Do not disassemble the coffee maker on your own if it is faulty.
