On certain mobile phones, the device itself
must be made "visible" for other devices,
as well as activating the Bluetooth
®
func-
tion.

Bluetooth
®
device name
Every Bluetooth
®
device has its own Blue-
tooth
®
device name. This name can be
freely
chosen,
but the default name may be
identical for all devices from a given man-
ufacturer. It is recommended that the
device is given its own name so that your
mobile phone can be clearly identified (see
separate mobile phone operating instruc-
tions).
Connecting a mobile phone

Switch on the mobile phone and enter the
PIN, if necessary (see the mobile phone
operating instructions).

Activate Bluetooth
®
functionality on the
mobile phone
(see mobile phone operating
instructions).

Press the ÷ button on Audio 20.

If the "Bluetooth
®
" function of the Audio
20 is
deactivated, you will see this message
in the display: Bluetooth not activa‐
ted in system settings. Activate the
function (Y page 26).
Authorising a mobile phone
When you use your mobile phone in conjunc-
tion with
Audio 20 for the first time, you must
register it (authorisation).
You can also authorise several mobile
phones. The connection is made to the last
phone that was connected that is within
range.

If the phone that was connected last can-
not be found, then a search is started for
the phone that was connected previously
to that.
If you authorise a new mobile phone, it will be
activated automatically.

Select TelephoneQTelephone
listQUpdate.
Audio 20 searches for Bluetooth
®
devices
within range and enters them in the tele-
phone list.
The duration
of the search depends on the
number and type of Bluetooth
®
telephones.
A previously authorised Bluetooth
®
tele-
phone that is within range is identified in
the telephone list by the following icon
once it has been detected: L
(If the icon is grey in colour, the authorised
mobile phone is not within Bluetooth
®
range.)

If
the
telephone list is already full, you will
be requested to de-authorise a device
(Y page 34). If Audio 20 cannot find your
mobile phone, external authorisation may
be necessary (Y page 33).

To authorise: select the mobile phone
from the
list and then OptionsQAuthor‐
ise.
The input menu for the passcode appears.
You can choose a passcode (access code,
passkey) which contains between one and
sixteen
digits.
You must enter the same num-
ber in Audio 20 and the device to be author-
ised.
To make entries via Audio 20: to enter the
passcode Audio 20, you can use the tele-
phone keypad or select the desired digits in
sequence from the menu bar.
