Select "Scene selection" from the menu.

Use the 9 or : button to select the
number 5.
In both
cases, playback will begin from the
fifth scene/chapter after a brief pause.

The scene/chapter can also be selected
from within the menu stored on the DVD.
Selecting a film/track
Introduction
If the DVD is divided into several films, you
can select the films directly. A film can be
selected either
when the DVD is being played
back or when it is stopped.

Show the menu system (Y page 71).

Select "DVD-V" Q "DVD functions".

Select Tracks from the menu.

To call up the selection list: press the
9 button.

Select a film/track.

Press the l button.
After a brief pause, the second film is
played.

can also be selected from within
the menu stored on the DVD.
Picture settings
Adjusting the brightness, contrast or
colour

Show the menu system (Y page 71).

Select "DVD-V" QBrightness or "Con-
trast" or "Colour".

To change the setting: press the 9
or : button
repeatedly until the desired
setting has been reached.

To store the setting: press
the 9 button.
Switching the picture format

Display the menu system if necessary
(Y page 71).

Select "DVD-V".
The DVD-V menu appears. The ä icon in
front of the "16:9 optimised", "4:3" or
"Widescreen" menu item indicates the for-
mat currently set.

To change the format: press the 9
or : button
repeatedly until the desired
format is selected.

To store the setting: press
the 9 button.
DVD menu
Calling up the DVD menu
The DVD menu is the menu stored on the DVD
itself. It
is structured in various ways accord-
ing to the individual DVD and permits certain
actions and settings.
In the case of multi-language DVDs, for exam-
ple, you can change the DVD language in the
DVD menu.

Show the menu system (Y page 71).

Select "DVD-V" Q "DVD functions" Q
"Menu".
The DVD menu appears.
