Switching the hands-free microphone
on/off
This function is also available during an active
phone call.

Call up the telephone basic menu.
X
To switch off: select Mike off.
If the microphone is switched off, the Q
icon appears in the main area.

To switch on: select Mike on.
The Q icon goes out.
Ending an active call

If necessary, switch the display to tele-
phone mode.

To end a call: select ¢.

Press the ~ button on the Audio 20
control
panel or on the multifunction steer-
ing wheel.
Rejecting or accepting a waiting call
The "call waiting" function must be supported
by the network provider and be enabled.
If you have a call in progress and receive
another call, the call waiting display will
appear.
You also hear a tone. You can accept
or reject the call.

To reject: select Reject.

Press the ~ button on the Audio 20
control
panel or on the multifunction steer-
ing wheel.

To accept: select Accept.

Press the 6 button on the Audio 20
control
panel or on the multifunction steer-
ing wheel.
This ends the active call.
If you accept the waiting call using the mobile
phone, the active call will be put on hold.
Then, you have two calls, with the accepted
call being the active call.
The Audio 20 display switches. If you con-
tinue to operate functions on the mobile
phone, the Audio 20 display may differ from
that of the mobile phone.
Sending DTMF tones
This function is not supported by all mobile
phones.
You can use DTMF (Dual Tone Multiple Fre-
quency)
tones to control answering machines
or other devices, e.g. for remote query func-
tions.

To send individual characters: select the
desired characters during a call.

Press the corresponding button on the
Audio 20 control panel.
Each character is sent immediately.

To send a phone book entry as a DTMF
character string: select Name.

Select the desired phone book entry.
The entry is sent immediately as a DTMF
character string.

Back to the call display: press the %
button next to the Audio 20 controller.
Using the telephone book
Introduction
In the Audio 20 phone book, you can save
telephone numbers or adopt existing data.
Each type of telephony offers its own method
for populating the phone book:
