When using ZigBee
TM
technology for a product the following additional costs have to
be taken into account:
(1) Membership of the ZigBee
TM
alliance, as least as adopter member for US$
3.500,-.
(2) The cost of a ZigBee
TM
product certification at a testhouse (TÜV Rheinland)
ranges from approximately US$ 4.000,- to US$ 10.000,-, depending on the
implemented software.
(3) Products qualifying for ZigBee
TM
certification at the ZigBee
TM
alliance need a
logo administration fee of US$ 1000,- for the first product, and US$ 500,- for
each additional product.
