i Menu in English will be displayed.
p To change back to the Japanese
display, select “
日本語
(Japanese)”.
■ To obtain an SSL site (SSL pages)
The display on the right appears.
When obtaining is completed, the
SSL page appears and “ ” lights.
p To cancel during authentication,
select “Cancel”. To cancel obtaining
the SSL page after authentication,
press
l ().
■ To return to a non-SSL site
The display on the right appears.
Select “YES” to display the ordinary
site; “ ” goes off.
Information
p Depending on the site, you may need to apply for the service
in writing separately, or to pay information fees to use it.
p The maximum display size of the images on the site is in
1400 x 480 dots. If it is larger than 1400 x 480 dots, it is
displayed shrunk with a proportional ratio retained.
p Depending on the site, “ ” might be displayed when the
image is not correctly displayed.
p Depending on the site or data, you might not be able to
download or save melodies, PDF files, software programs,
and others.
p With some Internet web pages (sites) supporting i-mode, the
color setting might make the text difficult or impossible to see.
p When you are asked from the site to send information about
music you have played back on the FOMA phone, the
confirmation display appears for about sending your music
information. Select “YES” to send the information (title names,
artist names, and played dates) of the music played back on the
FOMA phone. The sent music information is used for the IP
(information provider) to provide customized information to you.

p The i Menu in English differs slightly from the i Menu in
Japanese.
p Items such as Tokusuru Menu and News are not shown on
the English
i Menu.
p Generally, “What’s New” site will be updated every other
Monday.
p English sites are displayed after entering Menu List (sites
differ from Japanese version).
Basic operating methods while a site is displayed are
explained.
The FOMA phone saves the files such as the displayed
Internet web pages to a temporal storage area called a
cache. By pressing
No , you can bring up the page
stored in the cache without communicating.
p When you bring up a page that exceeds the cache size on
the FOMA phone or a page that is configured (created) to
always read its latest information, the FOMA phone starts
communication.
p When i-mode ends, the cache is cleared.

■ To turn pages
You can move back up through the pages that you have
displayed so far by pressing
Co repeatedly. However, if you
display a different page (“D”) from the previous page (“B”), you
cannot return to “C” from “D” even when you press
Co twice.
Instead, the pages are displayed in the order of “D”
→ “B” → “A”.
Information
p When you display a page stored in cache, you cannot
display text or settings you entered when connected before.
p When Flash movies are displayed, the site behavior might
differ from the one for ordinary sites.
