Wash Important Information before Use ≥When this mobile phone gets dirty, you can slowly swing and wash it in a bowl filled with fresh water or tap water at an ambient temperature, or wash it by hand while running a slightly-weak water flow from a faucet. ≥Wash this mobile phone with the back cover firmly attached and while you are pushing the cover of the connector terminal down. ≥Do not use brushes, sponges, soaps, or detergents for washing.

Also do not insert something pointed at the head into the clearance of the connector terminal cover or back cover. The packing is damaged, resulting in water or dust to enter into this mobile phone.
2 Draining Water ≥If you operate this mobile phone with water drops left adhered to, the volume level from the speakers might be decreased or sound quality vary. ≥Moisture may have entered inside through the clearance gap of the keys or hinges. Follow the procedures described below to wipe moisture off this mobile phone: 1 Securely take hold of this mobile phone, and firmly swing each surface at least 20 times until no moisture sprays off.

2 Basic operation Menu Operation Oo (Select). Item is selected. ≥If an item has a number, you can select it by pressing the corresponding numeric key. On this mobile phone, press m to display a main menu where you can operate, configure, and check various features. Co Shows the Call history.
Multi One-touch Function Viewing and Operating the Stand-by diplay You can easily call up frequently used functions and Phonebook which have been registered in multi one-touch keys. ≥Although functions have been registered in multi one-touch keys at purchase, you can change them. Registering function 1 2 Press and hold Q, W or E for at least one second.
Icon selection mode Status Bar Select the notification icons on the Stand-by display to check details or start the corresponding feature. 1 2 Notification icon appears on the left side of the status bar. When i-channel is received Sub-display Ticker text scrolls across the background display when the mobile phone is closed if settings to display ticker text are made in “Sub Display Settings” (see page 90). ≥When “Fixed clock” is set to “ON”, the ticker text is not scrolled. ≥Press x to end the tickers’ flow. Various information is displayed on the sub-display. This is displayed when the mobile phone is closed or when x is pressed while it is closed.
Call/Charging indicator Profile The call/charging indicator lights while charging or incoming call, or when a new notification is available, such as when there are missed calls or a mail message has been received. Confirm your phone number. You can also enter or edit your own details. 1 ≥For details on the call/charging indicator during charging, see page 37. ≥For setting the lighting patterns and colors of the call/charging indicator, see page 92.
2 docomo nano UIM card The docomo nano UIM card is an IC card that holds your information such as phone number. Data such as the phonebook and SMS information can also be saved on the docomo nano UIM card. By replacing the docomo nano UIM card, you can use different mobile phones for different purposes. You cannot use the telephone and packet communication features of this mobile phone if you do not insert a docomo nano UIM card.
Removing 1 Inserting/Removing of Battery Pack Follow “Inserting” Step 1 to remove the tray and Use battery pack P33 designed for this mobile phone. The battery pack is attached by first removing the back cover. (See page 20) take the docomo nano UIM card out.
Information Charging ≥Take the battery pack out after turning the power off, with the mobile phone closed and held in your hand. Also be careful not to press the One-push Open button when inserting or removing the battery pack. ≥You can damage the terminals in the mobile phone or the docomo nano UIM card if you try to force the battery pack into place. ■ Precautions for charging ≥AC adapter 05 (option) plug shape is designed for 100 V AC (domestic specification).
2 3 ■ Battery pack operating life ≥Battery pack is a consumable item. Usable time per charge gradually decreases with repeated charging. ≥When its usable time per charge is decreased to about a half of that from the time of purchase, the battery pack is near the end of life. So you are recommended to replace with new one soon. Depending on how the battery pack is used, it might swell as its remaining life becomes short, but this is not a problem.
■ DC Adapter (Option) The DC adapter supplies power for charging from a 12 V or 24 V car outlet with the battery pack fitted to the mobile phone. For details, refer to the instruction manual for the DC Adapter 04. 2 Bar Code Reader Fit a code to the guide frame. You can use the camera to scan JAN codes or QR codes, and store them as fi les. Tools/Applications Registering the Destination Register the destination to send the Mimamori-Mail. Up to 3 users can be registered. Mimamori-Mail 1 The number of times that opened this mobile phone, the step count, and battery level are recorded. Then a SMS that recorded them is automatically sent to the registered destination on the set time. You can know the usage situation of families and children who live away every day by receiving the Mimamori-Mail.

The service also includes sending out advice that you have changed your mail address.

When Software Update is Necessary Software Immediate Update When update files are downloaded automatically, a notification (Software update is available) appears in the status bar.
