We aim to manufacture environmentally friendly products that use resources efficiently and are the result of careful technical
management.
We believe that better informed consumers are key to improving sustainability. Our Eco Ideas label puts the spotlight on green
product features so that everyone can make more environmentally-friendly buying decisions.
For EVOLTA primary alkaline batteries the label highlights how higher energy efficiency means less batteries needed, which
helps to preserve resources

For EVOLTA rechargeable batteries it points out how a battery with more charging cycles at high capacity gives higher energy
efficiency and leads to less product disposal

. In this case it means that the Rechargable Evolta reaches up to 30% more cycle
life vs previous Panasonic Infinium.
• Green Business Innovations focus on improving the sustainability of our business
processes and operations.
We have exceeded strict CO
2
emission reduction targets and are now accelerating
recycling plans in all our manufacturing processes.
For our battery products we already implemented initiatives such as:
• recycled material for outer cartons (100%)
• recycled material blister cards (90%)
From 01/01/2011, our alkaline factory in Belgium reached a 0% waste ratio which means that
all leftover materials from production can either be recycled or reused and will certainly not go
to landfill.
