Prevent electric shock by switching off the power supply: - Before cleaning or servicing, - When extended non-use, or - During abnormally strong lightning activity. CAUTION Indoor unit and outdoor unit Do not wash the indoor unit with water, benzene, thinner or scouring powder to avoid damage or corrosion at the unit. Do not touch the sharp aluminium fin, sharp parts may cause injury. Do not switch ON the indoor unit when waxing the floor. After waxing, aerate the room properly before operating the unit.

AUTO COMFORT To maximize comfort AUTO COMFORT To set the timer 2 sets of ON and OFF timers are available to turn ON or OFF the unit at different preset times. 1 RFP To select Room Freeze Protection ON 1 RFP • When selected, the unit will circulate the air in High mode for monitoring the temperature.

Operation mode AUTO : During operation mode selection the POWER indicator blinks. • Unit selects operation mode every 10 minutes according to setting temperature and room temperature. HEAT : Unit takes a while to warm up. The POWER indicator blinks during this operation. COOL : Use curtains to screen off sunlight and outdoor heat to reduce power consumption during COOL mode. DRY : Unit operates at low fan speed to give a gentle cooling operation. FAN : To circulate air in the room.
Room Freeze Protection Function (RFP) Room Freeze Protection function (RFP) is used in spaces that are unoccupied during the winter, for the purpose of protecting any equipment or appliances which may be destroyed as a result of freezing temperature. To select Room Freeze Protection When selected, the unit will circulate the air in High mode for monitoring the temperature.
Cleaning instructions To ensure optimal performance of the unit, cleaning has to be carried out at regular intervals. Dirty unit may cause malfunction and you may see error code “H99”. Please consult authorised dealer. • Switch off the power at the circuit breaker before cleaning. • Do not touch the aluminium fin, sharp parts may cause injury. • Do not use benzene, thinner or scouring powder. • Use only soap ( pH 7) or neutral household detergent. • Do not use water hotter than 104°F / 40°C.
Troubleshooting The following symptoms do not indicate malfunction. Symptom Cause Check the following before calling for servicing. AUTO COMFORT Optimisation du confort AUTO COMFORT Réglage de la minuterie Deux réglages de la minuterie sont possibles pour mettre l’appareil en/hors marche à des heures préréglées. 1 RFP Activation de la protection contre le gel ON 1 RFP • Lorsque cette fonction est activée, l’appareil fait circuler l’air dans le mode élevé aux fins de contrôle de la température ambiante.

Mode de fonctionnement AUTO : Durant la sélection du mode de fonctionnement, le voyant d’alimentation (POWER) clignote. • L’appareil change le mode de fonctionnement toutes les 10 minutes en fonction de la température de consigne et de la température ambiante. HEAT : L’appareil prend un certain temps pour se réchauffer. Le voyant d’alimentation (POWER) clignote pendant cette opération.
Fonction de protection contre le gel (RFP) Cette fonction est prévue pour utilisation dans des locaux inoccupés durant l’hiver dans le but de protéger tout appareil ou équipement pouvant être endommagé par des températures sous le point de congélation. Activation de la protection contre le gel Lorsque la fonction de protection contre le gel est sélectionnée, le ventilateur de l’appareil fonctionne à haute vitesse pour un contrôle adéquat de la température ambiante.
Instructions de nettoyage Afin d’assurer un rendement optimal de l’appareil, il convient de nettoyer l’appareil à intervalles réguliers. Une unité qui serait sale peut provoquer des problèmes de fonctionnement et l’affichage du code d’erreur « H99 ». Dans un tel cas, consulter un détaillant agréé. • Couper le courant au disjoncteur avant de nettoyer. • Ne pas toucher l’ailette tranchante en aluminium; les pièces tranchantes peuvent causer des blessures graves.
Dépannage Les situations suivantes ne sont pas le signe d’un problème de fonctionnement. Problème Cause Décoloration de certaines pièces en plastique. • Circulation du frigorigène à l’intérieur de l’appareil. • Odeur d’humidité provenant possiblement d’un mur, d’un tapis, du mobilier ou encore de vêtements. • Contribue à éliminer les odeurs ambiantes. • Extraction de la chaleur résiduelle dans l’unité intérieure (maximum de 30 secondes). • Ce délai protège le compresseur de l’appareil.
Dépannage L’appareil arrête de fonctionner et le voyant TIMER clignote. Utiliser la télécommande pour connaître le code d’erreur.
