Applicable modes:
By recording using a frame rate that is different to the playback frame rate, you can record
smooth slow motion picture and fast motion picture.
Slow motion pictures (overcrank recording)
Set a frame rate with more frames than the frame rate of the recording quality.
Example: If you set [4K/8bit/100M/24p] to [48fps] and record a motion picture, a slow
motion effect of 1/2 can be gained.
Fast motion pictures (undercrank recording)
Set a frame rate with fewer frames than the frame rate of the recording quality.
Example: If you set [4K/8bit/100M/24p] to [12fps] and record a motion picture, a fast
motion effect of 2k can be gained.
Variable frame rate recording is possible with the following settings in [Rec Format] and [Rec
Quality].
1 Set the mode dial to [ ].
2 Select a recording format and recording quality that support variable frame rate
recording.
Variable frame rate recording cannot be performed with [MP4] or [MP4 HEVC].
Items available for variable frame rate recording are indicated as [VFR available] on the
screen.
3 Select the menu.
[Variable Frame Rate] has been added to the [Creative Video] menu
