the item with.
• You can select a value between [2fps] and [180fps].
The maximum value is limited to
[60fps] for the following
types of motion picture:
– AVCHD motion picture
– 4K motion picture
5 Press [MENU/SET].
• Auto Focus does not work.
• Audio is not recorded when the frame rate is different from that of [Rec Quality].
• You can perform continuous recording for up 29 minutes and 59 seconds.
The maximum is up to 10 minutes with the following [Rec Quality] and frame rate combinations.
• If you set a frame rate with a number of frames greater than 60 fps, the picture quality may
deteriorate.
• When using an interchangeable lens with no focus ring, you cannot set focus with Manual
Focus.
• To play back or import motion pictures recorded with [Variable Frame Rate] using a device
other than this camera, you will need either of the following devices:
– A compatible Blu-ray disc recorder
– A PC installed with “PHOTOfunSTUDIO”
• We recommend using a tripod.
• When you play back a motion picture recorded with [Variable Frame Rate], the recording time
display for motion pictures on the top right of the screen will look different from the one that
appears during normal motion picture playback.

• This function is not available in the following cases:
– When an image effect in [Filter Effect] of [Filter Settings] is set
– When [High Speed Video] is set
– When [4K Live Cropping] is set
• The following functions are not available when [Variable Frame Rate] is set:
– [Shading Comp.]
– [E-Stabilization (Video)] ([Stabilizer])
– [Time Stamp Rec]
• When [Variable Frame Rate] is set, [ ] of the [Stabilizer] switches to [ ].
• [Ex. Tele Conv.] in the [Motion Picture] menu is not available when a frame rate of 150 fps or
more is set with [Variable Frame Rate].
