Basic Connection Connecting to a Television and a Set Top Box Consult your set top box provider about the appropriate set top box to use. Additional coaxial cable and audio/video (AV) cable are required. Note: The terminals on the rear of your TV and set top box may not appear as shown below. Getting Started You can enjoy high-quality picture and audio by adding the HDMI cable connection between this unit and your TV as shown on page 8 and by doing the following. Copying Recordings Copying Recordings (VHS DVD) When copying begins, the VHS tape is played back starting at the tape’s current position, and recorded to the disc. Copying Recordings (DVD VHS) All recordings on the disc are automatically copied onto the tape. If you start copying when the resume function is activated, the DVD is copied from the beginning of the recording where you previously stopped. To copy a whole disc, press [ STOP] to deactivate it before copying ( 14).
Deleting Recordings Important: Once deleted, contents cannot be recovered. Preparation: Turn on the television and select the appropriate video input to suit the connections to this unit (example: AV input, etc.). Insert the disc containing the recording to be deleted.
