Setting ISO Sensitivity
The ISO setting sets the cameras sensitivity to light. The ISO setting can be
increased when you need to take pictures in places where a flash may not be
allowed. The overall picture quality will decrease slightly as the ISO setting is
increased.
Preparation
Set the mode dial except for [ ]/[ ]/[ ]. (P29)
1 Select [SENSITIVITY] and set the
ISO sensitivity.
(The screen illustrated above appears
on DMC-LC70/DMC-LC50. DMC-LC80
has ISO sensitivity between
[80]
–[400].)
DMC-LC80:
When setting to [AUTO], the ISO
sensitivity is automatically adjusted
from [ISO80] to [ISO200] according
to the brightness. (From [ISO80] to
[ISO400] when using the flash)
DMC-LC70/DMC-LC50:
When setting to [AUTO], the ISO
sensitivity is automatically adjusted
from [ISO50] to [ISO200] according
to the brightness. (From [ISO50] to
[ISO400] when using the flash)
Close the menu by pressing the
[MENU] button after finishing the
setting.

Suggestions/Tips

In Simple mode [ ]/Motion image
mode [ ], ISO sensitivity is fixed to
[AUTO].
To avoid noises, we recommend
decreasing the ISO sensitivity or
setting [PICT.ADJ.] to [NATURAL].

When the ISO sensitivity is set to
[ISO400], you cannot use the burst
mode. (DMC-LC80)
When the ISO sensitivity is set to
[ISO400], the recording interval may
become longer due to the process to
reduce picture noises. (DMC-LC80)
