LCD monitor
The LCD monitor turns off although the camera is turned on.
When the camera is not operated for a while, [POWER SAVE] or [AUTO LCD OFF] is
activated for [ECONOMY]. (P27)
If the LCD monitor turns off when you press the shutter button halfway, the batteries may
run out.
The LCD monitor darkens during use.
This camera automatically charges for ash recording and may darken the LCD monitor
for efcient charge. The monitor may darken in the following cases;
- After ash recording
- Just after turning the camera ON
- Just after setting to Recording Mode
- When adjusting the zoom or pointing the camera toward dark side
The LCD monitor lights up again to return to recording-ready condition after charging for
ash.
The LCD monitor becomes darker or brighter for a moment.
This phenomenon appears when pressing the shutter button halfway to set the aperture
value and does not affect the recorded pictures.
This phenomenon also appears when the brightness changes when the camera is
zoomed or moved. This is because of operation of the automatic aperture of the camera,
and it is not a malfunction.
The LCD monitor ickers indoors.
The LCD monitor may icker for a few seconds after turning the camera on indoors
under uorescent light. This is not a malfunction.
The LCD monitor is too bright or dark.
Is the [POWER LCD] or the [HIGH ANGLE] mode activated? (P26)
Black, red, blue and green dots appear on the LCD monitor.
This is not a malfunction. These pixels do not affect the recorded pictures.
Noise appears on the LCD monitor.
In dark places, noise may appear to maintain the brightness of the LCD monitor. This
does not affect the pictures you are recording.
Uneven colours come on the LCD monitor.
If you press the LCD monitor with excessive force, uneven colours may appear on it.
