3 (When recording in DVD-Video format) Select the
recording picture quality.
4 Select background design and allocation method
for motion pictures.
When selecting [No menu], the top menu will not be created.
• The maximum number of pages for layout is 10.
When selecting [No menu], recording cannot be performed.
5 Enter the titles.
Click on title to enable data entry and then enter the
characters.
6 Perform setting of title characters.
• Depending on the selected character size and type,
characters may fail to be displayed or they may
overlap other pictures. To avoid this, change the type
or adjust the size of the characters.
7 Click .
8 When the confirmation message is displayed, click
[Yes].
Recording progress is indicated on the progress bar.
It takes time to record all the data. Do not operate the
PC until the recording is completed.
Clicking [Cancel] will cancel the recording.
However with DVD-R/RW , the recording can be
canceled only during data conversion. It is not possible
to cancel the recording during writing.
9 When the recording completion message is
displayed, click [OK].
• When following message is displayed, click [Yes] when
you would like to record to another media, or [No] to exit.
The recording is done in recording date sequence and any
changes cannot be performed.
When recording fails due to a problem with the media, replace the
media as prompted by the message. The section of the data at
which the failure occurred will be re-recorded onto the new media.
It may take several hours to produce a DVD in DVD-Video
format, since the motion pictures need to be converted to
MPEG2 format.
Because it is necessary to record at least about 1 GB of data in
DVD-R/RW due to the standard, when the produced data is
less than 1 GB, dummy data will be added so that the data
totals about 1 GB.
Thus, even if the size of the data to be recorded is small, the
recording process will take time.
