z Auto protect setting for DVD writing
C.Auto protect is enabled and the protect setting will be
temporarily turned off when recording in AVCHD
standard to a DVD that is set as protected by the
AVCHD standard. (Protect setting is set again when
the DVD is ejected.)
• It will set protected after the recording even for the
DVD that is not set protected right after the formatting.
D.Auto protect is disabled, and recording to the
protected DVD is not possible.
The DVD-RAM/RW that was recorded with auto protect
enabled is set as protected, so it may not be possible to format
by other DVD recording software or Explorer.
In this case, formatting the disc with this software will cancel
the protect setting, and enable other software to format the
disc. ([Complete erasure] will take a long time, so it is
recommended to use [Simple erasure].)
