Using DVB-via-IP Server Function (TV>IP)
[BCT855 ] [BCT850] [ BST 855] [BST850]
The DVB-via-IP Server Function allows you to
stream TV broadcasts to a compatible device in
the same network. You can watch broadcasts on
a device provided with the DVB-via-IP Client
function.

Preparation
• Perform network connection and settings.
(> 20, 24)
• Set “DVB-via-IP Server” to “On”. (> 96)
To watch TV broadcasts on a DVB-via-IP
Client device:
Operate the DVB-via-IP Client device. (For details
on how to operate it, refer to its operating
instructions.)
• When “DVB-via-IP Server” is set to “On”, this unit uses one
tuner. As a result, the maximum number of programmes
that can be simultaneously recorded with this unit is
reduced by one.
• The DVB-via-IP Server function can stream only one
broadcast at a time.
• This unit will always be connected to the Internet when this
function is activated.
• When the DVB-via-IP Server function is in use, the
following operations cannot be performed:
- Playing back a title while copying another title in high
speed mode.
- Copying video/photos/music files
• [BCT855] [BCT850] It is not possible to use the DVB-via-IP
Server function if you change the “TV Signal Selection”
setting (> 22). Change the setting of the DVB-via-IP Client
device again.
• [BST855] [BST850] It is not possible to use the DVB-via-IP
Server Function when “DiSEqC
(Single Tuner)” is selected.
Select a setting that allows you to use two or more tuners.

It is not possible to use the DVB-via-IP Server
function and another network function (Network
Service / Home Network) simultaneously.
In “Network Function Priority”, priority can be
given to either “DVB-via-IP Server” or “Network
Service / Home Network”.
Network Function Priority (> 96):
• DVB-via-IP Server
Priority is given to the DVB-via-IP Server
function. When using the DVB-via-IP Server
function, it is not possible to use another
network function on this unit. Conversely, when
using the network function on this unit, it is not
possible to use DVB-via-IP Server function.
• Network Service / Home Network
Priority is given to other network functions.
When using the DVB-via-IP Server function, if
you use another network function on this unit,
the former stops. Conversely, when using
another network function on this unit, it is not
possible to use the DVB-via-IP Server function.
