The aspect ratio is factory set to 4:3 for a regular television• You do
not have to change this setting if you have a regular 4:3 aspect tele-
vision.
Preparation I
eTurn on the television and select the appropriate video input to suit
the connections to this unit.
eSwitch [DVD, TV] to "DVD'.
1 Press [_, POWER] to turn this unit _
on. _
2 Press [ACTION] to show the menus.
3 Use the joystick [',11,I_] to select the
TV Screen tab.
2 4 Use the joystick [&, Y] to select
ACTION "TV Aspect" and press [ENTER].
5 Use the joystick [A, Y] to select the
TV aspect and press [ENTER].

For your reference
Apart from "TV Aspect", other settings also affect how video ap-
pears on your television• Check the following if video doesn't appear
correctly on your television.
o"ACTION--TV Screen--4:3 TV Settings for DVD-Video" or "4:3
TV Settings for DVD-RAM" (-- page 83).
