DVD
PLAY
You are reCording a sports
program (2) and you wont to
watch it from the beginning.
For example:
while recording program 2 {sport)
DO the above operation and.,. V
You can start play from the beginning of a program while continuing
to record it.
Preparation
Switch [DVD, TV] to "DVD".
During recording or timer recording
Press [1_, PLAY].
Play starts from the beginning of the program being recorded.
• To stop play and recording
Press [11,STOP]. Play stops.
Wait 2 seconds.
(_) Press [11, STOP]. Recording stops.
eYou cannot stop recording with [11, STOP] during timer recording.
To stop timer recording, press {_), POWER], then If, STOP] with-
in 5 seconds.
For your reference
eThe playback images are displayed during chasing play,
eSound is not output while fast-forwarding.
ePiay cannot be started until at least 2 seconds after recording
starts.
eft you fast-forward and get to within a few seconds of the part being
recorded, the picture will change to show the images currently be-
ing played.

For example:
while recording program 2 (sport)
A sports program is
recorded while you watch a
movie.
You can start play of the program you are recording or play a pro-
gram previously recorded.
Preparation
Switch [DVD, TV] to "DVD".
During recording or timer recording
1 Press [TOP MENU, DIRECT NAVI-
GATOR].
'1" is displayed in the direct navigator to indicate the pro-
gram is being recorded (-, page 57),
2 Use the joystick [A, T] to select a
program and press [ENTER].
• To stop play and recording
(_) Press [i, STOP]. Play stops.
Wait 2 seconds.
(_ Press [11, STOP]. Recording stops.
eYou cannot stop recording with [11, STOP] during timer recording.
To stop timer recording, press [_, POWER], then [i, STOP] with-
in 5 seconds.
For your reference
eDuring simultaneous rec and play, you cannot edit with the direct
navigator or use play lists.
elf you start play while the unit is on timer recording standby, re-
cording starts when the time you set is reached.
eThe unit returns to recording standby when you stop play while it is
on timer recording standby
