The timer recording list disappears and the message "TURN
RECORDER OFF FOR TIMER RECORDING" is shown on
the television.

To put the unit on timer recordingstandby !
Press [_), POWER].
Ensure "E]" lights on the unit's display.
If the disc is protected or full, the unit switches to standby but does
not go for timer recording standby. Check the disc carefully.
Flexible recording mode (FR)
eThe unit automatically selects a recording rate between "XP" and
"EP" that will enable the recordings to fit in the available recording
time on the disc with the best possible recording quality.
eYou can use the mode only with timer recording.
olt may not be possible to record to the finish of the program if the
remaining time doesn't allow.

The built-in clock employs 12-hour system.
eThe actual time recorded may be longer than the program itself
when television programs are recorded using VCR Plus+.
e"lnvalid Entry" is displayed when you enter the wrong code. Reent-
er the code.
e"AII timer programs are occupied." is displayed if there are already
16 items programmed. Clear unnecessary items (-- page 47).
eThe remaining time displayed is calculated based on the current
recording mode.
eApproximately 30 seconds at the beginning of subsequent pro-
grams is not recorded when you use timer recording to record mul-
tiple programs to a DVD-R.
Recording is not possible unless you set =Disc Protection" in "DISC
SETTING" to "Off" (m page 53).
eYou can not record to a disc it the disc is protected with the write-
protect tab. Release this before operation (-- page 99).
eTimer recording may not work as set when summer time switches
to winter time and vice versa (=- page 88).
