Preparation
Switch [DVD, TV] to DVD.
Turn off the surround effects on the other equipment.
Press [DISPLAY] )[DISPLAY] to display the on-screen menu icons and use the joystick [1] to
highlight the marker icon (pages 62 and 64).
Marking Place
[RAM] [DVD-R]
You can mark up to 999 points on a disc to return to later. These marks are recorded directly
onto DVD-RAM, but are cleared when you removed or finalized DVD-R.
[DVD-V] [CD] [VCD]
You can mark up to 5 points on a disc to return to later. All the markers are cleared when the disc
tray is opened.

Press [ENTER].

Use the joystick [2, 1] to select the next asterisk (¢).

Press [ENTER] at the point you want to mark.
To play from a marked position
Preparation
Switch [DVD, TV] to DVD.

highlight the marker icon (pages 62 and 64)

Use the joystick [2, 1] to highlight the marker pin icon.

Use the joystick [3, 4] to select 11 20.
The group of 10 increases each time you move the joystick [3].

ªTo clear a marker
Use the joystick [2, 1] to select a marker number and press [CANCEL].
ªTo clear the on-screen icons
Press [RETURN].

This feature doesnt work while using a play list.
The markers are ordered by time. This means that the marker numbers can change when you
add and erase markers.
You cannot mark and clear points if you have write-protected the disc, either with the write
protect tab (page 91) or with DISC INFORMATION (page 40).
[DVD-R]
The markers are ordered by time. This means that the marker numbers can change when you
add and erase markers.
[DVD-V] [CD] [VCD]
This feature only works if the elapsed playing time of the disc is shown on the units display.
Some subtitles recorded around the marker may fail to appear.
