Error messages Causes and solutions
No Disc. ≥You haven’t inserted a disc. Correctly inserted a disc that this unit can play. (page 15)
≥The disc is upside down. If it is a single-sided disc, insert it so the label is facing up.

This is non-recordable disc. ≥The unit cannot record on the disc you inserted. The unit cannot record onto finalized
DVD-R, DVD-Video, CDs, or video CDs.
Insert a DVD-RAM or unfinalized DVD-R. (page 6)
≥You inserted an unformatted DVD-RAM.
Format the disc with this unit. (page 42)
This disc is not properly formatted.
Formatting is necessary using DISC
INFORMATION.
