Usually, the units Auto Setup or Download function automatically
adjusts the clock to correct time.
Under some reception conditions, however, the clock cannot be
set automatically.
In this case, follow the operation steps below to manually set the
clock.
[1] While stopped
Press [FUNCTIONS]. (page 23)
[2] Select “SETUP” with [3, 4, 2, 1] and
press [ENTER].
[3] Select
“Settings”
tab with [3,
4] and
press [2,
1].
[4] Select
“Clock” with
[3, 4] and press [ENTER].
Note
≥In case of a power failure, an automatic back-up system
automatically maintains the operation of the clock for
approximate 120 minutes.
[5] Select “Off”
of
“Automatic”
with [3, 4]
and press
[ENTER].
[6] Use [2, 1]
to select the
item to be changed.
≥The items change as follows:
Hour,.Minute,.Second,.Day,.Month,.Year,.Hour...
[7] Use [3, 4]
to change
the setting
and press
[ENTER].
≥You can also use
the numeric
buttons for setting.
[8] Press
[RETURN].
≥The SETUP screen reappears and the clock starts.
If a TV station transmits a signal for time setting, the Automatic
time correction function is activated and time is corrected
automatically.
[5] Select “On” of “Automatic” with [3,
4] and press [ENTER].
≥Auto clock setting starts.
≥Under adverse reception conditions, etc., the automatic time
correction function may not work. In this case, the indication
for “Automatic” is automatically reset to “Off”. If the reception
conditions improve later on, it may be possible to activate this
function.
[6] Press [RETURN].
ªTo stop auto clock setting
Press [RETURN].

≥When “Automatic” on the Clock setting menu is set to “On”, the
automatic time correction function checks and if necessary
adjusts the time several times every day.
≥If “Automatic” is set to “On” and “Power Save” is “On”, the
Automatic time correction function does not work while the unit is
turned off. However, as soon as it is turned on, the Automatic
time correction function is activated and the clock is set correctly.
