Connecting and positioning the IR Blaster
Why should I connect the IR Blaster?
The IR Blaster is a device that allows this unit to communicate with the cable TV box. It acts like a remote control for the cable TV box.
If you connect a cable TV box to this unit, you also need to attach the IR Blaster so this unit
can control the channels on the cable TV box.
This connection allows a VCR to be used for playback when the DVD Recorder is turned off.
For optimum operation, it is recommended that your DVD Recorder
be connected as shown below.


Setting up the TV Guide On Screensystem
Follow the on screen instructions using your
DVD recorder’s remote control.
“BYE” appears briefl y and then “12:00A” ashes on the unit's display. The unit is now in standby mode and
ready to download the channel lineup and the program listings.
