7.3.9 Edge feature

You can set the unit not to copy the outer edges of the document without reducing the copied documents to fit

the recording paper. This is useful for copying documents with register marks or dirty edges.

1. Set the original.

For 2-line LCD models ( ):

1. /COPY /PAGE LAYOUT (repeatedly): "EDGE"

2. Select "ON". OK/SET

3. Select "LONG EDGE". OK/SET

4. Enter the long edge width using the dial keypad. OK/SET

5. Select "SHORT EDGE". OK/SET

6. Enter the short edge width using the dial keypad. OK/SET

For touch panel models ( ):

1. Display "Settings" screen (page 86). "EDGE"

2. "EDGE" "ON"

3. "LONG EDGE" Enter the long edge. "OK"

4. "SHORT EDGE" Enter the short edge. "OK" "OK"

3. If necessary, enter the number of documents (up to 99).

4. /START

• After you finish copying, press

: /STOP / : to reset this feature.

• This feature and page layout features cannot be used at the same time (except for N in 1).

• You can hold the previous edge setting (feature #473).
