Basic play
You can skip chapters on DVD-Video,
tracks on DVD-Audio, CDs, and Video CDs,
and on DVD-RAM you can skip to the start
of a program, scene in a play list, or to a
marker.
During play or while paused
Press [1<<] or [IH_I].
Each press increases the number of skips.
Play position

Hold in position to move the frames in
succession.
ePressing [11] also activates forward
frame-by-frame.

Turn the shuttle dial.

Press [<<1] or [IH_].
The picture stills again when you release
the shuttle dial.

During play
Turn the shuttle dial.

During play
Press [<<1] or [IH_].
Play starts again when you release the
shuttle dial.
eAudio will be heard during search for most
discs. You can turn this sound off if
required (.i, page 37, Audio--Audio during
Search).

elf you press [1<<, I_N] or ['4<, I_1_] during menu play of Video CDs with playback
control (= page 45), the unit may not perform properly.
eThe speed of search and slow-motion increases up to 5 steps.
ePress [1_] (Play) to restart play.
eYou cannot move backwards with Video CD during frame-by-frame and slow-motion.
eFrame-by-frame viewing and slow-motion only work on the moving picture parts of
DVD-Audio.
