Changing the monitor settings
Press [MONITOR] on the main unit to
change the monitor settings.
The mode is shown on the LCD as follows.
NORMAL-->FULL-->ZOOM

• The picture mode and size
The picture shown on the LCD depends on
the display mode and the size recorded on
the disc.
elf you are not using the LCD on this unit,
select "OFF" (no picture) to conserve
power. (The [(_] indicator flashes.).
eThe LCD is turned off if you close the unit.
eHorizontal lines may appear in the
picture when the mode is switched to
"ZOOM", but this is not an indication of
malfunction.

1. Press [BRIGHT] on the main unit.
2. Move [A, T] so "-->" points to
"BRIGHT".
3. Use [<1, I_] to adjust the brightness.
-5: dark<--->5: light
4. Press [BRIGHT] to clear the display.
Power consumption increases with the level
of brightness.
Full screen
Black bands on the
right and left.
1. Press [COLOUR] on the main unit.
2. Use [<1, I_] to adjust the color shade.
-5: light<--->5: dark
3. Press [COLOUR] to clear the display.
These changes are effective only for this
unit's LCD. Make changes to the television's
settings if you have connected one.
