Using On-Screen Menu Icons m
On-Screen menu icons are menus that contain information about the disc or unit. These
menus allow you to perform operations by changing this information.
Operations available only with On-Screen Menu Icons
Chapter select, Elapsed play time, Still picture page number, Digital picture mode, Dialogue
Enhancer, Bit-rate display, A-B repeat, Repeat play, Marker.
Press [DISPLAY].
Each time you press the button:
Example: DVD-Video

Icons for unit information (=o step 2)
Shuttle screen

oThe screens depend on the disc
contents.

While the leftmost icon is highlighted
Use [A, Y] to select the menu.
Each time you use the cursor jockey:
Play menu Video menu

Display menu Audio menu
Use [<, I_] to select the item.

Use [A, V] to select the setting.
oltems with "A" or "T" above and
below can be changed by [A, V].
oSome items require different opera-
tions. Read the explanations on the
following pages.
oPress [ENTER] if the setting does not
change after using [A, T].
To clear the icons
Press [RETURN] until they clear.
To change the position of the icons
You can lower the position of the icons on
the screen if they are cut off for some rea-
son. There are 5 positions to choose from.
1. Use [,4, I_] to select the rightmost
icon.
2. Use [A, V] to move the icons.
For your reference
oDepending on the condition of the unit
(playing, stopped, etc.) and the type of
software you are playing, there are some
items that you cannot select or change.
oWhen numbers are displayed (e.g.title
No.), the numbered buttons are also effec-
tive for setting. When numbers are entered
with the numbered buttons, press
[ENTER] to register the setting.
