FAQ Question Question Why does “Dry/Charge” mode take longer than “AUTO” mode? Can I refill the selfcleaning recharger with water when the cleaning liquid has decreased? Can the self-cleaning recharger be used to wash other models? Will the battery deteriorate if not used for an extended period of time? Can I charge the shaver after every use? Answer This is due to the difference in the drying time.
►Self-cleaning ► recharger Problem The blade has not been thoroughly washed. The blades are not dry or are sticky. 22 Action If the shaver is not cleaned for more than 2 weeks, first clean with the cleaning brush to remove beard trimmings. (See page 18.) Do not add detergent and water except when replacing the cleaning liquid. Doing so may deteriorate the cleaning function. (See page 19.) After cleaning, oil-like droplets may remain on the outside of the foil frame.
Problem Cleaning liquid leaked from the cleaning liquid unit. The cleaning liquid unit cannot be removed. The mode does not start. Action Do not press the cleaning liquid unit removal button during any mode. Place the self-cleaning recharger horizontally. If you use the self-cleaning recharger when the shaver is wet or when soap or shaving gel is on the shaver, cleaning liquid may leak. Place the self-cleaning recharger on a hard, flat surface. (See page 12.
►Shaver ► Problem The power switch does not turn ON. The shaving sensor does not respond. 24 Problem Action Unlock the switch lock. (See page 14.) The shaving sensor may not respond depending on the type and quantity of the shaving gel. This is not abnormal.
Problem Operating time is short even after a full charge. Shaver does not operate even after charging. Action Although the shaver can be used for about 2 weeks after a full charge (assuming dryshave usages for 3 minutes per day), the usable number of days might be lower depending on how the shaver is used (for example, when used for wet shaving). Apply oil. This can be improved by cleaning every time after shaving.
Problem System outer foil gets hot. You do not get as close a shave as before. Action Apply oil. Replace the system outer foil if it is damaged or deformed. (See page 18.) This can be improved by cleaning every time after shaving. Replace the system outer foil and/or inner blades. Expected life of system outer foil and inner blades: System outer foil: Approximately 1 year Inner blades: Approximately 2 years Apply oil. Battery life The life of the battery is 3 years.
