OPERATING PRECAUTIONS WARNING: To avoid damaging the unit or risk of personal injury, follow these precautions: 1. Do not use or store the unit in a location that is exposed to direct sunlight or in a hot location, such as near a heater, or on heating equipment, such as an electric carpet. 2. Do not damage, excessively bend, pull, or twist the power cord. Do not allow the cord to hang (drape) or route where it can cause a tripping hazard. 3. Do not disassemble, repair, or modify the unit. 4.
GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS This product must be grounded. If it should malfunction or break down, grounding provides a path of least resistance for electric current to reduce the risk of electric shock. This product is equipped with a cord having an equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is properly installed and grounded in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.

SETTING UP 1. Lift up the front end and move the unit by rolling it on its wheels. Notes T Do not move the unit while holding the handle. T Do not move the unit the cavity below the front section. The cavity is not a handle. T Do not step on the power plug while moving the unit. T Slowly lift and move the unit while taking care not to injure your lower back. Wheels 2. Lay out the supplied mat and place the unit on the mat. * Lay out the mat so that the rubber surface faces down.
OPERATION Preparation before exercise 1. Plug the power plug into the power outlet. T Do not allow the cord to hang (drape) or route cord where it can cause a tripping hazard. 2. Turn the lock switch key to the “open” position. 3. Slide the power switch to the “on” position. 4. Attach the footrest bracket and the footrest. There are two footrests, one each for the left and right feet.
5. Sit on the seat. Notes T Do not touch the control panel when getting on the unit. T Do not get on the unit by placing your foot into the footrest. EU6442 L 6. Sit on the seat and confirm the length of the footrests. Slightly bend your knees and adjust the footrests to a length at which your feet are firmly held. Place your feet in the footrests. If they feel too tight or too loose, get off the unit and again adjust the footrest length. Step on the footrests with the balls (widest part) of your feet.
Basic posture while exercising (for effective exercise) 1. Simply sit up straight on the seat of the trainer in a relaxed position. 2. Keep your head, shoulders and hips centered over the seat as the seat moves. 3. Place your feet in the footrests. 4. You may hold the handle to help steady yourself. Posture during forward tilt of the seat Posture during backward tilt of the seat L During the forward tilt of the seat, balance yourself and support your upper body by pushing your heels toward the front.
Starting the exercise * Regular exercise once a day is recommended. (The frequency per day should be determined by your physical fitness and condition.) 1. Press the OFF/ON button. T After the button is pressed, the lights flash for the OFF/ON button, pre-set programs, and manual control. * Press one of the Manual Control or Pre-Set Programs buttons within one minute after pressing the OFF/ON button. If a button is not pressed within this time, the unit automatically turns off.
Exercising with manual operation and pre-set programs ■ Manual operation Manual Control button When the Manual Control button is pressed, the corresponding lamp illuminates and the unit runs at a fixed speed. The exercise can be adjusted to the desired speed level and seat tilt with the Speed Control and Seat Angle Adjustment buttons. T When is pressed, the speed increases. T When is pressed, the speed decreases. Speed indicator: The selected speed level flashes.
Speed levels of the pre-set programs For the speed range of the pre-set programs, the speed automatically varies in the selected speed range each time or is pressed. Speed levels (9 steps) Note: The speed level indicator lamps showing the speed range illuminate and the lamp showing the current speed flashes. Changes in seat reclining in the pre-set programs Seat only operates horizontally and basic exercises for the legs and waist can be done. (1) After the operation starts, one lamp turns off approximately every three minutes. (2) When the remaining time reaches one minute, the lamp flashes twice as fast.
End of exercise 1. The operation automatically shuts off approximately 15 minutes after the OFF/ON button was pressed at the start of the exercise. T To stop the operation midway, press the OFF/ON button. (When the OFF/ON button is pressed, the speed gradually decreases and then the unit will stop.) T The seat may recline slightly when the operation stops. 2. Stretch your muscles. Note T Be sure to stretch after using the unit to relax your exercised muscles and eliminate fatigue. 3.
TROUBLESHOOTING Problem Does not start even after pressing the OFF/ON button. The unit will not operate at all. Cause and Remedy • The power plug is not securely inserted into the outlet. In this case, securely insert the power plug into the outlet. (See page 7) • The lock switch key is in the “lock” position. In this case, set it to the “open” position. (See page 7) • The main power switch is off. In this case, turn the main power switch on.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE Seat, handle, cover T Clean the unit by wiping it with a soft and dry cloth. (Do not use chemically treated cloths.) If the unit becomes dirty, dilute neutral detergent in warm water to a concentration of 3%-5%, moisten a soft cloth with the solution, wring the cloth well, and wipe the surfaces clean. Next, wring a cloth moistened with water, wipe off the neutral detergent, and gently wipe the surface with a soft and dry cloth. Finally, air-dry the surfaces.

INSTALANDO 1. Levante el extremo frontal y mueva la unidad haciéndola rodar sobre sus ruedas. Notas T No mueva la unidad mientras que sujeta la manija. T No mueva la unidad sujetando la cavidad debajo de la sección frontal. La cavidad no es una manija. T No pise el enchufe de corriente al mover la unidad. T Levante y mueva la unidad lentamente al tiempo que se cuida de no herir su espalda inferior. Wheels Ruedas 2. Extienda el tapete suministrado y coloque la unidad sobre él.
OPERACION Preparación antes del ejercicio 1. Inserte el enchufe en la toma de corriente. T No deje que el cable quede colgando (tendido) ni lo enrute donde pueda ser un peligro de traspiés. 2. Haga girar la llave del interruptor de bloqueo a la posición “open” (abierto). 3. Deslice el interruptor de corriente a la posición “on” (encendido). 4. Adose el soporte del descanso de pie y el descanso de pie. Hay dos descansos de pie, uno para cada pie.
5. Siéntese en el asiento. Notas T No toque el panel de control al subirse en la unidad. T No se suba a la unidad colocando su pie en el descanso de pie. EU6442 L 6. Siéntese en el asiento y confirme la longitud de los descansos de pie. Doble ligeramente sus rodillas y ajuste los descansos de pie a una longitud en la que sus pies se mantengan firmes. Coloque sus pies en los descansos de pie.
Postura básica al ejercitarse (para un ejercicio efectivo) 1. Simplemente siéntese derecho en el asiento del entrenador en una posición relajada. 2. Mantenga su cabeza, hombros y caderas centrados sobre el asiento cuando éste se mueve. 3. Coloque sus pies en los descansos de pie. 4. Puede sujetar la manija para ayudarse a estabilizarse.
Empezando el ejercicio * Se recomienda ejercitarse regulamente una vez al día. (La frecuencia al día deberá ser determinada por su estado físico y dolencia.) 1. Oprima el botón de APAGAR/ENCENDER (OFF/ON). Botones de Programas Prefijados Botón de Control Manual T Después que el botón es oprimido, las luces destellan para el botón APAGAR/ENCENDER (OFF/ON), los programas prefijados, y el control manual.
Ejercitándose con la operación manual y los programas prefijados ■ Operación manual Botón de Control Manual Cuando el botón de Control Manual es oprimido, la lámpara correspondiente se ilumina y la unidad funciona a una velocidad fija. El ejercicio puede ser ajustado al nivel de velocidad deseado e inclinación de asiento con los botones de Control de Velocidad y Ajuste de Angulo de Asiento. T Cuando es oprimido, la velocidad se incrementa. T Cuando es oprimido, la velocidad se reduce.
Niveles de velocidad de los programas prefijados Para la gama de velocidad de los programas prefijados, la velocidad varía automáticamente en la gama de velocidad seleccionada cada vez que es oprimido. o Niveles de velocidad (9 pasos) Nota: Las lámparas indicadoras de nivel de velocidad mostrando la gama de velocidad se iluminan y la lámpara mostrando la velocidad en curso destella.
Cambios en la inclinación del asiento en los programas prefijados El asiento funciona sólo horizontalmente y se pueden hacer los ejercicios básicos para las piernas y la cintura. Fin del ejercicio 1. La operación se apaga automáticamente aproximadamente 15 minutos después que el botón APAGAR/ENCENDER (OFF/ON) fue oprimido al comienzo del ejercicio. T Para detener la operación a mitad de camino, oprima el botón APAGAR/ENCENDER (OFF/ON). (Cuando el botón APAGAR/ ENCENDER (OFF/ON) es oprimido, la velocidad se reduce gradualmente y luego la unidad se detendrá.) T Puede que el asiento se incline ligeramente cuando la operación se detiene. 2. Estire sus músculos.
REMEDIO DE PROBLEMAS Problema No arranca aún después de oprimir el botón APAGAR/ENCENDER (OFF/ON). La unidad no funciona en absoluto. Causa y Remedio • El enchufe de corriente no está bien insertado en la toma de corriente. En este caso, inserte bien el enchufe de corriente en la toma de corriente. (Ver página S7) • La llave del interruptor de bloqueo está en “lock” (bloqueado). En este caso, póngala en la posición “open” (abierto). (Ver página S7) • El interruptor principal de corriente está apagado.
LIMPIEZA Y MANTENIMIENTO Asiento, manija, cubierta T Limpie la unidad frotándola con un paño suave y seco. (No use paños tratados químicamente.) Si la unidad se ensucia, diluya detergente neutral en agua caliene a una concentración de un 3%-5%, humedezca un paño suave con la solución, escurra bien el paño, y limpie las superficies. Luego, escurra un paño humedecido con agua, limpie el detergente neutral, y limpie suavemente la superficie con un paño suave y seco. Finalmente, seque al aire las superficies.
