As factory default, the computer automatically enters the hibernation in 16 hours after it enters the modern standby (sleep) state. This setting is
recommended.
The computer automatically enters the hibernation if the battery levelbecomes lower than 5 % in the modern standby (sleep) state.
Since the sleep mode of this computer supports the modern standby mode, the battery consumption in sleep mode is large. Connect the AC
adaptor before the battery level becomes zero.
Replacing the Battery Pack
The battery pack is a consumable item so the replacement will be necessary. If the battery operation time becomes noticeably short and not recovered
even after recalibrating the battery, replace with a new battery.
IMPORTANT
n The battery pack is not charged when you first purchase it. Be sure to charge it before using for the first time. Charging starts auto-
matically when the AC adaptor is connected to the computer.
n Use only the specified battery pack with your computer.
n If the computer is wet, wipe them off and open the cover. Make sure to dry off the computer, replace/remove the battery pack.
Remove the Battery Pack
When removing the battery pack after turning off the computer
1. Turn off the computer.
Do not use the sleep function.
2. Turn your computer over.
Make sure no foreign objectsare under the computer.
3. While sliding the latch (A), pull out the battery pack (B).

2. Slide the latch (C), and check the status of battery indicator (D).
