3. When authenticated, the display of the fingerprint switches as shown below and Windows starts up.
IMPORTANT
n If fingerprint authentication failed three times, the computer turns off.
n You can switch to password input by pressing the ≪ Esc≫ key.
Uninstalling the fingerprint authentication function
Perform the following procedure to delete the device’sfingerprint authentication utility.
1.
Click (Start) - (Settings) - [Accounts] - [Sign-in options].
2. Click [Remove] under “Fingerprint” in “Windows Hello”.
IMPORTANT
n To remove the fingerprint authentication function after the Windows reinstallation, perform the procedure below.
1. Select [Clear the fingerprint data] in [Fingerprint Security] in the [Security] menu of the Setup Utility, and select [Yes].
Do not perform this procedure other than after the Windows reinstallation.
